Welcome to my blog!

In the latter half of 2015, I started to experience mild abdominal pain which, after a few months of complaining about it, eventually led me to see a doctor. Initially thinking it was an ulcer, he prescribed an antibiotic which of course was ineffective and resulted in more tests, ultimately uncovering Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer. The cancer is inoperable.

What resulted, among other things, was an outpouring of interest in my situation, and because we have moved a number of times, this blog is the family’s vehicle for communicating with those that may be interested in how we are doing. I write the posts and Vanessa, our journalism student, acts as editor and publisher. Thanks for following our story…

Paty joined Old Band Wallace for his favorite song, “Farmhouse” by Phish at the end of July during a visit to Kansas City.
